Nook
The nook provides a space for class activities outside of the classroom. A change in environments could help keep students engaged throughout the day. The custom modular seating resembles a flower from above. This alludes to the concept, springtime.
The classrooms feature similar furniture and layouts. The main goal of the classrooms is to provide a variety of spaces to host different learning opportunities and plenty of storage. The 2nd grade classroom has tables that seat 5 students with Smith System's Oodle chair. This active chair is stackable to support varied heights and it rocks giving students a secondary stimulus. The back wall of the classroom has hexagon shapes that are a mix of shelving, white boards, black boards, and acoustic panels.
